Public contributions
[edit]Article edits, discussion posts, edit summaries, and revision histories are public. The edit form warns that an unsigned edit publicly displays the editor's IP address. Signed-in edits are attributed to the account's username. Do not put personal identifiers, private addresses, credentials, confidential material, or another person's private information into a page or edit summary.
Removing text from a current article does not necessarily remove it from its revision history, copies, or backups. Contact the administrator privately if sensitive information has been posted.
Accounts, sessions, and technical records
[edit]The site runs MediaWiki on hosted infrastructure. MediaWiki can use cookies for sign-in sessions and preferences. Requests to the hosting service can create technical records such as IP addresses and requested URLs. This notice does not establish a verified inventory or retention period for every hosting, security, backup, or account record; those settings remain under review.
Contribution draft builder and other services
[edit]The contribution draft builder generates Markdown in the browser. It does not automatically submit the draft or publish a wiki edit. Opening the page still makes an ordinary request to the website. Copying and sharing a draft is a separate action.
Links to Discord, YouTube, GitHub, and other sites lead to separate services with their own privacy practices. Review those services before sharing information.

[edit]Contact admin@thetruthisopen.org privately about this notice or sensitive content. Describe the affected page and the concern without sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. Administrator review does not guarantee removal of third-party copies.
