Open Research is a place for hypotheses, compact “knowledge nuggets,” reproducible tests, and negative results. The useful unit is a question with enough context to test it, not a slogan. Aletheia's proposed distributed discovery system remains a concept; this wiki can begin with readable records while implementation is developed.

Research record

A good entry states the question; the prior art and primary sources; a method and conditions; raw observations; a counter-explanation; a conclusion with limits; and a next test. Label a proposal concept, a single observation field observed, and a repeated result independently reproduced only when the evidence warrants it. Research nugget format gives a compact template.

Starting questions

  • Which diagnostics can remain local when a device loses network access?
  • What documentation and spare parts most reduce repair time for a specified model?
  • How can an owner verify that a claimed open design can actually be built and serviced?
  • Which failed tests should be recorded so another builder does not repeat them?

These are questions for future work, not conclusions or active deployments. Put a measured result on its own dated page with the test setup. Link repair observations at Repair Commons and project implementations at Sovereign Stack.

Negative results and replication

Report a failed method with the same specificity as a success: version, conditions, expected result, observed result, and plausible confounders. A changed conclusion belongs in the article and, when material, Aletheia:Corrections log. Invite an independent reader to repeat the test without overstating a single observation.
